Monteverdi Opera Trilogy

To celebrate the 450th anniversary of the birth of Claudio Monteverdi, Sir John Eliot Gardiner will conduct the operas ‘Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria’, L’incoronazione di Poppea’ and ‘L’Orfeo’.
The performances will be unique in character, featuring bespoke lighting and movement to tell the three stories. This will be a major event visiting the musical centres of Europe, in a major anniversary year for the composer.
