Recent highlights have included the title role of Rusalka and the Countess Le nozze di Figaro for Norwegian Opera; Marietta Die tote Stadt at the Teatro Real Madrid and La Fenice; Marschallin Der Rosenkavalier at Teatro Carlo Felice Genova, Komische Oper Berlin, Norwegian Opera, and Opéra National de Paris; Marie Wozzeck at La Monnaie; and Elisabeth Tannhäuser at the Baden-Baden Festival. Other operatic roles include Ellen Orford Peter Grimes at La Monnaie; Rosalinde Die Fledermaus, Tatyana Eugene Onegin and Eva Die Meistersinger, all for Metropolitan Opera; Katerina Izmailova Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk for San Fancisco Opera, Zurich Opera, Dresden Semperoper, Bayerische Rundfunk, and at the Saito Kinen Festival; Lisa Pique Dame at the Liceu Barcelona; Donna Elvira Don Giovanni at the Metropolitan Opera, Paris Opera and with Antonio Pappano and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra; Marenka The Bartered Bride at Glyndebourne; and Ariadne auf Naxos for Opéra National de Paris.

Recent concert performances include Strauss’ Four Last Songs, Zemlinsky’s Lyric Symphony, Schumann’s Das Paradies und die Peri, Haydn’s The Creation, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis and Lutoslawski’s Chantefleurs et Chantefables, which she premiered at the BBC Proms. This season, she performs Schoenberg’s Erwartung with the Orchestre de Paris at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

Kringelborn’s discography includes Grieg Songs with Rozhdestvensky, Grieg’s Haugtussa and Olav Tryggvason, Sibelius’ Luonnotar, Lutoslawski songs, and two solo recital CDs with Malcolm Martineau: Black Roses, which won a Norwegian Grammy, and most recently Erwartung, which showcases lieder by Schoenberg, Strauss, Wagner, Wolf and Reger. She has also recorded Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 for Deutsche Grammophon under Giuseppe Sinopoli and made a celebrated recording of Sibelius’ opera The Maiden in the Tower for Virgin.
