This season Radvanovsky makes a highly anticipated role debut as Minnie in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West for the Gran Teatre del Liceu. She returns to the Metropolitan Opera as the title role in Tosca, and further appears as Maddalena di Coigny in Giordano’s Andrea Chénier for the Wiener Staatsoper and as the title role in Manon Lescaut for Teatro Real de Madrid. On the concert platform, Radvanovsky stars in the Metropolitan Opera’s Diamond Jubilee Gala Concert as well as a Gala Concert celebrating Régine Crespin hosted by Opéra national de Paris. She further performs a series of Verismo concerts with the orchestra of the Chicago Lyric Opera and appears in recital at LA Opera and Gran Teatre del Liceu.
Last season, Radvanovsky returned to the Lyric Opera of Chicago to reprise the title role in Cherubini's Medea which she created when Sir David McVicar's production originally debuted at the Metropolitan Opera in 2022. She reprised the role in a new production of Medea for Teatro di San Carlo, and starred as the title roles in Tosca for Opéra National de Paris, and Turandot for the Bayerische Staatsoper. Radvanovsky appeared in a Christmas Gala Concert at Carnegie Hall and appeared at the Ljubljana Festival in a concert performance of Tosca. The 2025/26 season also saw the release of Radvanovsky’s new album ‘Puccini: Heroines’ through the Pentatone label.
Further operatic highlights include a role debut as Odabella Attila for Teatro Real de Madrid; Tosca with the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin & Teatro di San Carlo; Turandot for the Royal Ballet and Opera & Teatro di San Carlo; Medea for Canadian Opera Company; Aida for Opéra National de Paris & Deutsche Oper Berlin; Liza Pique Dame & Maddalena Andrea Chénier for Deutsche Oper Berlin; as well as Leonora La Forza del Destino and Maddalena in Sir David McVicar’s staging of Andrea Chénier conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano for the Royal Ballet and Opera.
Recent recent concert highlights include appearances at Carnegie Hall, Palau de la Música Catalana, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro de la Maestranza, Teatro Real de Madrid, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and at the Salzburg Osterfestspiele. She recently appeared at the Lyric Opera of Chicago where she performed her ‘Puccini: Heroines’ programme conducted by Enrique Mazzola.
Since making her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in 1996, Sondra Radvanovsky has appeared on its stage regularly, with roles including Amelia Un Ballo in Maschera, Leonora Il Trovatore, Elvira Ernani, Elisabeth Don Carlo, Roxane Cyrano de Bergerac, Elisabetta Roberto Devereaux, as well as title roles in Tosca, Aida, Luisa Miller, Norma, Anna Bolena, and Maria Stuarda. Many of her performances have been featured in the “Met: Live in HD” series, such as Norma, Il Trovatore, Un Ballo in Maschera, Roberto Devereux and Medea. She has also appeared as the host for the “Live in HD” transmissions of La Fanciulla del West, Otello, and Francesca da Rimini.
In addition to this, Radvanovsky has collaborated with various record labels. Her debut recording, 'Verdi Arias', was released in April 2010 on the Delos label. The album quickly became a critical hit and made several season-best lists, including those of NPR and The New Yorker. In 2011 Delos released a CD of Verdi opera scenes with Radvanovsky and her frequent artistic partner Dmitri Hvorostovsky, recorded with the Philharmonia of Russia and Constantine Orbelian. The recent highlights of her discography include the release of Warner Classics’ new recording of Turandot with Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role and tenor Jonas Kaufmann as Turandot’s suitor, Calaf, accompanied by the Orchestra and Chorus of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under the baton of Sir Antonio Pappano. Several of Radvanovsky’s performances have been released on DVD, including as Roxane alongside Placido Domingo in Cyrano de Bergerac released by Naxos, as well as her ‘The Three Queens’ programmes released by Pentatone.
Furthermore, Radvanovsky is a co-creator and co-host of the podcast “Screaming Divas”, where she and her friend soprano Keri Alkema talk about their lives and operatic careers with friends and colleagues. The duo has recently launched the fourth season of this podcast
