During the current season, Fluch conducts the Staatskapelle Berlin in performances of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia. In April, he leads the orchestra at the Pierre Boulez Saal in a symphonic programme of works by Mozart, Weber and Ege Gür. Later this season Fluch makes his Vienna debut conducting Die Zauberflöte at the Volksoper Wien.
In previous seasons, Fluch has conducted the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra and Landesbühnen Sachsen. As an Assistant Conductor, he has worked with, among others, the Dresdner Philharmonie (I puritani), Theater Chemnitz (Götterdämmerung, Tristan und Isolde, Eine Alpensinfonie, Ein Deutsches Requiem) and Opéra National du Rhin (Der Schatzgräber by Franz Schreker) with conductors such as Bertrand de Billy, Guillermo García Calvo, Hans-Christoph Rademann and Marko Letonja.
Born in Berlin, Tim Fluch received his first musical education in the Staats- und Domchor and Children’s Choir of Berlin and at an early age, had the opportunity to work with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, Claudio Abbado and Andris Nelsons. He studied conducting at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music Dresden. His collaboration with Christian Thielemann led to a masterclass invitation with the Staatskapelle Dresden at the Salzburg Easter Festival in 2022.
