The Guardian, June 2021"The sheer style and poise of the Georgian mezzo Natalia Kutateladze set her in a class of her own: with a fabulous clarinet richness in the lowest notes and a flutey quality in her runs, she brought a focused intensity to everything she sang."
Seen and Heard International, October 2025"Natalia Kutateladze did a wonderful job in bringing Bizet’s seductive gypsy girl to life. Her Carmen was a poised, self-possessed free spirit who could be seductive and flirtatious but also fiery and defiant when she needed to be. (...) Kutateladze has a rich, creamy mezzo voice which is strong throughout the vocal register. I was particularly impressed with her singing at the bottom of the register and the intense musicality of her performance. She brought rich dark colours and silky sensuous lines to the famous ‘Habañera’. The subsequent ‘Seguidilla’ had a flirtatious allure, and the ornamented vocal line was beautifully handled. The final scene, in which she stood up to Noah Stewart’s murderous Don José, was a dramatic impassioned tour de force."
